Drawings your machinist won't call you about.

Freelance mechanical design, GD&T drawings, structural analysis and 3D printing from a working manufacturing engineer. Parts designed to be made, drawings clear enough to quote and build from.

What I do

3D CAD

Parts and assemblies modeled from your sketch, concept or existing hardware.

Production drawings

Fully dimensioned drawings with GD&T, tolerances and weld callouts, ready for a shop to quote.

FEA

Stress and deflection checks that validate a design before you pay for a prototype.

DFM review

A manufacturing engineer's eye on your design to cut cost, setups and scrap.

Fixtures & mounts

Brackets, mounts, fixtures and custom hardware for products and the shop floor.

Drawing cleanup

Legacy, incomplete or hand-drawn prints redrawn to a clean, current standard.

023D Printing

Need the part in hand? I print prototypes, fit-check parts, fixtures and low-volume production on a Bambu Lab H2S with an actively heated chamber, so engineering materials like ABS, ASA, nylon and polycarbonate print accurately, not just PLA.

Send a SolidWorks, STEP or STL file, or have me design it first and print it in the same job. I'll recommend the material, orientation and wall settings for how the part will actually be used.

How it works

STEP 1

Send the problem

A sketch, photos, an old drawing or a rough idea. Tell me what it needs to do.

STEP 2

Get a quote

Hourly or fixed project price, with a clear scope and turnaround before any work starts.

STEP 3

Receive files

Weekly progress updates, then native CAD, STEP and PDF drawings delivered on schedule.

04Background

Built on the shop floor

TRW Engineering Solutions is run by Treyton Wood, a manufacturing engineer with daily hands-on experience in CNC machining, automation and production support.

That background shapes every job. Tolerances are set for how the part will actually be made, features are designed around real tooling, and drawings are written for the person running the machine. Small jobs are welcome, so you can see the quality before committing to something bigger.
